Health insurances & reimbursement

The European Radiosurgery Center Munich has agreements to assume the costs for Cyberknife treatment with certain health insurances. Please inquire for detailed information. There are also agreements for privately insured patients.

International patients need to inquire for a cost estimate. 

 

 

Our commitment benefits patients

The European Radiosurgery Center Munich is involved in intensive partnerships and cooperations with scientific institutions and organizations.

For example, the close and formal cooperation with the University of Munich (LMU) and the associated scientific exchange promote the further development of radiosurgery and, in particular, the cyberknife procedure.

Scientific and clinical partnerships

The European Cyberknife Center is involved in a clinical and scientific collaboration with the Klinikum Großhadern of the University of Munich. There are close partnerships with the university institutes and clinics such as the Institute for Diagnostic Radiology, the Neurosurgical Clinic, the Medical Clinic (oncology), the Urology Clinic and the Department of Ophthalmology. In Germany, the center of Munich also cooperates with colleagues from other universities.

Universität Stanford

There is also an international network of colleagues from all over the world. Intensive partnerships exist with Stanford University in California, USA, where the Cyberknife was invented by Professor John A. Adler.

Radiosurgery Society 

The Board of Directors of the worldwide Radiosurgery Society (http://www.therss.org) is advancing the development of international treatment, education and quality standards for radiosurgery treatments using the Cyberknife.

Clinical cooperation

Neurochirurgie Klinikum Großhadern

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Großhadern cooperates closely with the Cyberknife Center, both in patient care and on a scientific level. Patients may be treated in coordination with the Neurosurgical Clinic if surgery is required before or after Cyberknife therapy.

LMU Klinikum
Universitäts-Augenklinik LMU

The treatment of uveal melanoma is performed together with the colleagues of the University Eye Clinic LMU. Contact persons are here Mrs. PD Dr. med. Kirsten Eibl and Dr. Ing. med. Paul Foerster. Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Arthur Mueller, FEBO, is our cooperation partner at the Augsburg Hospital.

Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für Nierentumoren (IZN)

In close cooperation with the head of the IZN, PD Dr. med. med. Michael Staehler, the Cyberknife treatment of kidney tumors is performed in selected cases.

LMU Klinikum
Studies in colorectal cancer

The Klinikum Großhadern offers participation in interdisciplinary studies through its special ambulances. After agreement of the experts of most different disciplines in common tumor boards the optimal treatment strategy is determined individually.
